I was able to get this at PFD through their Prepaid Projects program. Now, the end-result is not the original sketch that the Artist (Zlata_M) submitted. There has been quite a bit of 'mud slinging' in the PSP community of late and it's quite sad.

All I'm going to say is, the ARTWORK that I purchase from any digital store IS ARTWORK. The fact that it is a digital file called a "tube" does NOT matter.

I do not consider what I do "creating art" - I think of it as "crafting". For example in my youth, my crafts were embroidery and cross-stitch. Now my "crafting" is with a computer. Sometimes I will even make our holiday and birthday cards for family and friends (with scrapkits - not with tubes purchased, of course).

It's a hobby ... it's fun for me ... it distracts me from things in RL when I need it. If some day the digital stores fold-up-shop then I will just continue on with all the wonderful pieces that I have purchased since 2004.

omg ... Twice on our local news this WEEK there have been reports of DOGS being POISONED. What sort of unfeeling; uncaring; %^&*%$# would do such a thing.

Today's report mentioned at least FIVE pets that have died due to this idiot. The neighborhood involved in today's report is less than a mile from ours. The first report this week was in a neighboring city.

The families that have lost their beloved family members - YES our pets are family members - are devastated. A few of the families have children ... I can only imagine their heartbreak.

.... sigh ....

My First "Twilight" Tag - Irene Owens

I would not call myself a "fan" of Twilight, though I did want at least one piece of artwork so that I could make tags for those that are. I used the artwork of Irene Owens and a free scrapkit called Vampire Diaries. No tutorial was used.

A Bit Of News

In just a few days, my husband and I will celebrate our 19th Wedding Anniversary. Wow - can't believe it's been that long already. We are truly just as happy as were on that day May 2, 1992.

Our plans to celebrate? Well, perhaps dinner out. You see, my husband is participating in a 199-Mile Relay this weekend. He is taking Monday off to recuperate LOL Besides, like most everyone these days, finances need to be spent elsewhere.

Hopefully things will turn around next year so that we can have a little get-away celebration for our 20th.

Blogger Has Something New ....

While I was updating a few links, I noticed that Blogger has something new in their "Gadgets". There is now a "Follow" where visitors can use their Email Address. I think that is really cool!

For blogs that I have chosen to follow, I forget about them because I only log into my blogger account when I have a post, so I rarely see new data for blogs. lol Besides that, I like organizing my stuff a bit more so being able to receive new tutorial announcements, for example, in a different email account will work much better for me.
